BUSH'S Poll Numbers Up

tribe
After hitting lows near or around 35% Bush's Poll Numbers are on the rise as people realize he will not leave Iraq until the job is done; something he has stressed since the get go of his 2nd term; people realize the economy isn't that bad. Dow is near 11,000 and the investing sector is at its all time high.
More people are working than ever! 5% unemployment rate.

Bush's numbers rose 8 points before the election and now it went so well with 70% Iraqi's voting; expect it to get around 50% within the coming months.

I'm from australia, our prime minister john howard is butt kissing george bush, and following the usa in economic plans etc etc.
The day Bush was elected was a sad day, the day he was reelected was a sad day, and the day john howard was reelected was a sad day. Although Bush is just a puppet for the republicans and the next republican president will be the same.

Americans are now in a such bad situation that they were forced (I supposed, otherwise it's just dumb?) to put a tax on the canadian wood they import, despise all clauses and documents about free trading. And thus mining our economy. There must be something. Sounds rot to me.

I'm also from australia. it annoys me that johnny does everything The Big Bush does but I beleive he is a better priminister then big old kim beasly who seems to critize everything the government does. Even though its in best interests for the country! I think he should stay away from mccdonalds if you ask me and be more open minded Very Happy ..

I think australia should pull out of the war but it dopesnt look like it. Anyways why does america need use we are not a superpower of the world. the war can do without us.

Anyways getting back on subject I do think that Bush does nt always get enough credit for the work he does seeming the public eye only focus' on the problems and not anything good... ussually!

I wish people would stop attacking Bush so much. Now that we have gone to Iraq there's not much that can be done. It would be nice if Americans would support our President instead of criticizing everything he does.

To be honest, I think too much worth is given to these kind of polls. I prefer my finely tuned intuition on how the world thinks. That never gets me into trouble (except for all the time, of course).

You don't seem to follow a lot of threads in this forum.
If you do, you would notice that most threads started are pro-Bush, anti-lieberal.

Anyway, I think it's expected that Bush's poll numbers would rise after the success of the Iraq elections... so what if these elections result in a puppet-government that the Us can control with the little finger on its left hand.

That's easy: Bonus! We get the oil!

LoL, j/k.

It's possible, and perhaps probable. If it does happen, I doubt the US will use Iraq to fund, harbor, train and house terrorists. Wink

I really doubt that the President's poll numbers will go up. Although the economy is revovering from the recession that begain during Bush's term, people are still dissatisfied with gas prices (by which a great number incorectly assess the state of the ecnonomy. As goes for Iraq, this election is not really good news for the administration amidst all the complains of fraud. Besides, until US troops will actually leave Iraq a great number of people will be angry.

Everyone who voted for Bush (Not saying anything about the Republican Party) should be stoned to death for their stupidity. Why o why would anyone vote for a person that dumb.... If anyone can answer that I would like to hear it.

I'm a moderate-conservative and I would absolutely never vote for Bush...It is saddening to me that he wasn't blown out in the second election by ANYONE. And as for his poll numbers rising, such is the tendency when anything seemingly positive happens. Although we can't really be sure if these elections will lead to anything good or bad, Bushes numbers probably will go up.

I speak from the tongue of a man who served 12 years in the service. Marine Corps and Army. I would not have wanted to make the decisions that any sitting President had to make after the attack of 911. Whatever the reason, and whoever the the attackers would have been, it was bound to cost more lives of Americans and her allies.

There is a problematic enemy who is hard to know and harder still to battle with, because they can come from within your own community, and may even be your neighbor!

I am not Republican or Democrat, so no real jade is on my opinion here. I was hoping that Mr. Bush would come clean about the probable mistake he made attacking Iraq in the first place. Since he has done that recently I would say that his "numbers" would naturally go up. I am not too sure he gives a damn about those polls since he is on a second term now. The worst that could happen is a "Lame Duck' presidency.

The point is though that America cannot afford to back out of this commitment! We have already created a new psuedo government, and we are now obliged to see that mess through. Honestly, we needed that strategic alliance in the Middle East. Our Nation is a country dependent upon the resources that Iraq can provide. That being of course... Oil! It's no mystery as to what the advantage of having a friendly nation in our pocket over there would mean. There is no shame in it either! It is how the game is played right now. With our position in Iraq and Afghanistan today, there is little fear of a country like Saudi Arabia cutting us off.

Like it or not, whoever is in the White House has only one real priority today... Global Politics! If they are not playing the game, there is no way to keep a country as energy hungry as the U.S.A running. We have outsourced ourselves almost to oblivion! We manufacture very little of our own product, and we are slowly killing off the agriculture industry. We are setting ourselves up to be slaughtered!

Bush has his faults, as any man does. He has fessed up to them as any Commander in Chief should, and for that he can be admired. But I wouldn't want his job for one minute!

I don’t know if I can answer that, mostly because I’m stupid. Man, if it wasn’t for all of us stupid people, you could be president, with all your smarts and all. Any how, why didn’t all you smart fellows get together and an run somebody against Bush. I mean, instead of that pathetic group of pandering sh*t milling Beverly Hills boy scouts.

I imagine it must be tough though, having such an idiot run the country so well despite such overwhelming odds. Especially with everything falling into place just as the doddering fool and his handlers predicted. Having to grab at any little straw you can find to try damaging his credibility.

I tend to believe you have a valid point. What do any of the people who post threads on a public forum really know about Bush, "The Man"? There will always be detractors of any sitting President, especially one like Mr. Bush. Why? Because he is religious, apparently good to his wife and children, and seems to care about our safety as a nation! In other words, He's doing the damn job we hired him to do! Right or wrong, he has to make decisions because as Harry Truman put it "The Buck Stops Here!"

His job is like no other. He has to make quick decisions and possibly commit to sacrificing lives with limited intelligence faculties against an enemy who sits on your front porch, or comes to your Christmas parties, just waiting for word from Abdulla Akbar to blow your nuts off!

I don't envy his job, nor do I agree 100% with his decisions. But I commend a man who makes a decision and stands by it! And that's what our President has done. He is not going to back away from the very mess he created without completing the intended course to the best of our capability. That means simply to finish what you started! Too many people in this attention deficit prone world start stuff and never finish it.

Honestly Freddie... There is. But we, as a collective concious, refuse to do it! Yes my friend, I guess it's about oil to some degree. But there is a root cause and effect going on here that is more about control.

The general populace of every nation is under "its" spell. Like the Charmer to the Cobra. But the Cobra has powers, it has just forgotten about them for the moment as the Charmer plays his song!

I will not elaborate too much about this on a public forum. The majority of the public doesn't care right now anyway. That is proven by the fact that people are allowing Microsoft and Google dictate what they do with their energy. Letting Record Moguls dictate the music they listen to as has been happening for more than 50 years now! Allowing a company to spy on them and not raise Holy Hell in a level of outrage! No Freddie my man, the majority are not too concerned! They are worrying about what Paris Hilton is wearing and what Growng up Gottie is like. And that is ok. Life is about free will after all. There is a solution. But let me remind everybody that 5% of the people in a company do 95% of the work, the other 95% of people do 5% of the work. The rest are just hanging on for a paycheck. That is the way of the world.

If you actively participate in real discussions on a forum like this, you are most likely part of the 5% that are willing to work and commit. You may not be aware of that fact, but consider it today as you go through the rest of the holiday. Are you a doer, or a whiner? We need whiners too, but I believe that if you are relevant on something as simple as a forum , then you are wanting to do "something." You may not know what that something is, but you want it.

O Shut Up. Bush was the man for the job. Kerry was a complete lying hypocrite who went to extreme measures to win and he still couldn't.

Even when Bush's poll numbers hit a low around 35% the Dems couldn't raise any support whatsoever for the 2006 election; CONGRESS.

I Support Bush. I volunteered for his campaign and had 3 signs in my front yard in LIBERAL OHIO=Youngstown, Ohio.

I as an American can vote for whom I beleive is the right man for the job. From Day 1 I supported this war and you can't help but thank Bush for helping me be better off than when Clinton left.

The last 2 years of Clinton my yearly salary fell when Bush came in my salary is up 85%

BUSH-CHENEY-REPUBLICANS=2008 VICTORY!

I agree with you and your general view of prioritizing candidacy factors into your opinion, but I think "O shut up" is not showing your true colors! If you are a "Bush/Republican" then restraint should be the order of the day. Mr. Bush is a "Born Again" Evengelical Christian. I think this is a wonderful aspect of his character, regardless of whether one is of the Christian persuasion or not! It means that he has some sense of a morality, maybe not everyones view of it, but a sense of right and wrong. This is a good thing. So "O shut up" is below you and I think you are a much better person than that.

In respect to your comment on the economy and Clinton/Bush comparisons, let me just say that the sitting President has very little bearing on the economy. Those statistics do not have any validity until roughly 5 to 10 years after the man's time in office. Why would I say that? Because the policy of our political machine does not effect the economy that fast. The economy is not completely driven by decisions made in Washington either. Generally, the economic index is driven by Gross National Product (GNP), and World Markets. "We the People" make money for the Government, and they decide how to blow our cash on Capitol Hill! That being said, time will tell if this war and our latest string of natural disasters have hurt our economy or not. It's a "ripple" effect, like throwing a stone into a pond, and "We the People" are way on the outer ring of that ripple...
