Peter Gibbons just can't seem to catch a break. His girlfriend is cheating on him, he has an obnoxious neighbor, and he's completely miserable with his job as a small cog in a company called Initech. Then he visits a hypnotherapist, who dies just after putting Peter into a state of complete bliss. Free of worrying about making a living, he no longer feels the need to keep his job, just as the company is going through a massive downsizing. However, his new attitude only makes him more valuable in the company's eyes, and his friends Michael and Samir are fired instead. Together, they scheme to plant a virus inside Initech's computer system that will pull money into their own account.
HAs anyone seen this movie? It's my favorite movie!!! It's so realistic. Work sucks, bosses suck, life sucks. It's so true.
Oh heck yes, it was filmed in Austin, Texas.
It is based on a comic strip.
Isn't this the "I believe you have my stapler" movie? :o
I'd like to see that same therapist (?) that he goes to. Would help me in my job..
A great movie!
OMG... office space is the best movie, next to how high
find it quite boring though....if u like this you'll probably like clerks!
I completely agree! Office Space is the most hilarious movie I have ever seen, and I have found that lots of people have seen it and can quote it. I was working in a cubicle job last summer and the guy in the next cube was mumbling about his stapler. The entire office busted out into laughter!
Awesome movie.
We watched it in my Bus 101 class evaluating motivation factors.
This movie is hilarious, definitely one of the best comedies ever made.
The movie is based on the animated short and comic strip "Milton" written
by Mike Judge, who also created "King of the Hill" and "Beavis and
Butthead".
The guy that played Milton was also in "Dodgeball". He was the radio
station manager in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and was the voice
of "Bubbles" in "Finding Nemo". He is a very good character actor.
