| Iraqi Voter Tells Insurgents, Dems, "Go To Hell"
An Iraqi voter, Betty Dawisha, lumped terrorist insurgents and American Democrats together by saying "Anybody who doesn’t appreciate what America has done and President Bush, let them go to hell," as depicted in video captured by the Political Teen. Sure, it is one person's opinion, and the likely response by said Democrats would be that is, in fact, one person's opinion, and does not represent the whole. All true, all true. But is not Cindy Sheehan one person? Is not John Murtha just one Congressman? These people are individuals whose words the same liberal who will say, "that's one Iraqi's opinion" or "eh, it was on FoxNews...." will often take the words of those whom they agree with as a divine revelation not be questioned because 'her son died in Iraq' or 'he's a war veteran.' For each individual on one side of the debate, there is another person ready to rebut. For every Cindy Sheehan out there, there is a mourning mother who believes in her son died for what is right. For every John Murtha, there is a war veteran who knows that what we are doing in Iraq is right. You may, however, rest assured, that this Iraqi is not alone, and that many other Iraqis are truly appreciative of the sacrifice made by Americans, thanks to the leadership and resolve of President Bush. Every Iraqi who votes in the election is sending a message with their vote, and while they may want Americans to leave, the very act of their voting indicates a level of appreciation that so many people in America take for granted. |
