I have only a few comments.

Murtha faces a problem of backfire.

One... he repeated the same matra that screwed Kerry.

Two... He would have to get concurrence from John McCain....

He failed to recognize number one and McCain is closer to Bush's view point.

He demanded retreat, surrender and negotiations with the enemy.

He's flip flopping like Kerry in his prime, and he'll end up like Kerry if he's not careful.

And the MSM says: Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, (Lieberman), Murtha, Murtha, Murtha.

Has anyone in the MSM brought up the fact (as reported in Roll Call) that just prior to becoming the media darling and poster child for the anti-war left, Murtha was facing an ethics investigation for steering defense contracts to companies represented by his brother's "consulting" firm.

That's news to me. I wonder why the media hasn't reported about that? I wonder if it were, say, Leiberman, if they wouldn't jump all over it.
