http://club.pep.ne.jp/~hiroette/en/facemarks/ (*^_^*)
wow, those are funny, ahahaha!
I like the Throwing Shuri-kens emoticon.
lol , yeah its funny
.
Thats so awsome. Mabye I should use those... trick people... heh.
how fun (*^_^*)
Thanks for sharing
o_O
I use both enterchangably
Interesting...the best part were the translations though.
"He brings you a Japanese tea on with a tray. It shows the hospitality."
"This is a one of the seafood"
"Japanese ghost doesn't have legs"
"for make an accent when you write a mail!?"

yeh i think using both western and japanese is best. i feel the western ones are more in your face, whereas the japanese ones are more subtle
i like this the best
How can anyone REMEMBER all of those? Jeez.
OMG, these are so cute! Actually, I already use some of these emoticons, even though I'm not Japanese... (-_-
...<=see!!! It comes up all the time I tell you! ^_^
Not too sure about the 1 byte, 2 byte thing
The Japanese ones are bigger, but American ones usually are 2 bytes>
:)
The japanese ones are often 4 bytes or more.
\(^o^)/ Wai, cool site! I use these smileys so much that I tend to forget that many people don't know what they mean... ^^; -__-;
Are there really people who don't know at least some of them, because IMHO there used as much as the 'western' ones...
Those are way better than the smileys we have here.
not very bad
there are more emotions
They are definitely cuter than american smileys but they are hard to remember. Many girls like to use them.......they like cute thingy...
