The albums mainly rotating in my Cd player at the moment are Jimmy Edgar's new album 'Color Strip', The Human League's 'Dare', Daft Punk's 'Daft Club' and Ghostly International's 'Disco Nouveau' compilation album.
Anybody else into anything similar?

Megadeth -> Youthanasia -> Addicted to Chaos. I have the complete anthology queued right now. I've just started listening to Megadeth. I like bands like Metallica, Tool, Primus, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, and basically anything with a good beat. I've been playing drums for the last 6 years. Other than the computer it is the only thing that I am striving to thrive at. I think that it's a good mental and physical work out. I think that music in general is a good outlet because it seems that those who know how to play are also able to do other things good too. I've heard that the most popular minor at MIT is music because most of the students grew up as musicians. My only regret was that I didn't get started younger in life. Things may have worked out much differently for me had I did however I do feel lucky that I started playing when I did.

I like music of most all Genres. My favorites i suppose would be traditional country, Classical, and R&B. I'm a songwriter, and those are the Genre that would fit I think most of my music. Right at this moment, i'm listening to some Pink Floyd, the current song is "Wish you were here" and i've played it 3 times in a row. Pinks talent for composing/arranging music is very understated I believe. His music is so original, and unique. I would say hes one of the modern Classical composers. It's just as good, only different in style, and instruments. As a writer, I only wish I had his ability to arrange music.

Cradle of Filth belongs to the metal genre of gothic metal. That is their description in encyclopediametalum. I like Cradle of Filth, but I'm not just limited to their music. I think I have a Darkthrone cd here. I'll just try to listen to it.

By the way. Darkthrone is in a different metal genre. their early music genre was death metal, but right now, their current genre is Black metal. Remember that Dimmu Borgir belongs to the black metal family. Cradle of Filth belongs to the family of gothic metal. The early metal genre of Cradle of Filth was gothic. But right now, they move 1 notch higher. They now belong to extreme gothic family.

It just ended, now it's Haru Kanata, by Asian Kung-fu Generation XD. They are an okay band, really popular in Japan, even though they can't sing all too well. I would much rather to be listening to L'arc en Ciel anyday.
Their melodies are more serene and make more sense, and is more like classical music. In the sense that if you listen really closely it never gets boring.

Been on a huge AJFA binge lately. Their best album, in my opinion. Probably the apex of their career. The Black Album was good and all, but this is where it really did peak for me. The mixing may not be all that great, and it may sound thrown together, but I think this is one of my favorite albums of all time, and I'm not much of a Metallica fan these days.

Hora - Ignition
It took me so long to get used to how Hora digitally alters his voice for the songs where he does vocals. I'm glad that I took the time to listen to the songs he does vocals for ("BIO GENESIS" by Schwarz Stein, and "Ignition" from one of his solo albums), because while he's significantly altered his vocals to the point where they've become more just a part of the actual music of the song than vocals, the songs are just amazing. "BIO GENESIS" is now one of my favourites.

I just discovered this group a couple of days ago, and I'm already planning on buying the special edition CD+DVD of Dignity of Crest that came out on January 1. [Warning: Fangirl moment] I was so sad when I found out Juka had left Moi dix Mois, but then I learned he went to HIZAKI grace project instead, and I must say, I'm so happy that he's continuing as a vocalist! Besides, HIZAKI grace project is amazing in and of itself.
