I found out what precludes an automatic double post!
It just happened to me again recently:
I complete a post
I click "submit"
404 error (as if I had lost conneciton)
I hit the back button on my browser (currently IE)
I click "submit" again
"your post has been entered successfully" dialogue
Return to the thread
My post is there twice

I suppose that getting an error at that precise point will cause a redundant post.

This happens when your post is inserted into the database and then something happens which causes the "successfully posted" page not to appear. I'll try to make the minimum time between two posts a bit larger.

well, the forums at http://gaiaonline.com have an error which shows when this happends saying:

"You cannot post from the same form twice"

Is it possible for you to do that?

Bondings, at least modify the thing so it doesn't affect moderators/admin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
