Murderers in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

Did you guys know about this? It is well known in some countries what is actually happening in the north of Mexico; in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, to be exact.

Since 2001 a serial murder cases of young girls and adult women happened in that area. By this moment, the number of victims is probably about 600, female all of them. The Police and the same goverment seem to be not really interested on finding a possible solution to the problem.

the fact their all women suggest to me certain things including it was a male. for a man to kill what I can only assume is an unarmed woman is a pathetic and pretty low thing to do so his actions are dispaicable (not all the same person I also assume)
Secondly the fact the government is taking no action and seems uninterest is appauling. It's their job to make the people feel safe (with the police of course) which is part of why they are in power. It also says that they possibly know the people involved whether friends or them being blackmailed by them.

I sugggest a largescale political campain with a massive petition for action to be taken. Online wouldnt be to good as easily faked but would be good for alerting people to the problem. And mostly from people in mexico as well as anybody else wouldnt matter to their government.

Well, first of all: The Goverment took action in some way. They put some people in jail. The thing is that the murders didnt end up there. There were many more cases after that. Since nothing seemed to be effective on this cases, the president seems to have forgotten the situation, however, the CIA and FBI have offered their help in these cases. The Mexican goverment rejected all kind of foreign help, thats a real shame... Sad

And YEAH, of course lots of people have expressed their inconformity about the situation (including me). But the police and goverment seem to be deaf at this point Sad

They may have more physical power than women but women have great sense... They can never understand it ! Evil or Very Mad

But why do they this ? What are their aims ?

The main problem: Are there directors of this dirty game ? Who are they ?
I think that they're arms smugglers... Maybe they are protected by goverment... ? Who knows... ? But I know some people are being rich from arms smuggling... Specially, in Iraq.

I read about this almost 4 years ago and was shocked at the unresponsiveness of authorities-- and it is still going on. WTF? In Ipswich, UK, earlier this year a mass murderer was caught and apprehended within 8 weeks!

"British author Simon Whitechapel ... describes Ciudad Juarez as "an (abraision), a ... wound ground out on the border by the (friction) of American "plutocracy"* and Mexican poverty, of American desire and Mexican desperation."

Michael Newton continues, "...there is clearly something else at work in Ciudad Juarez. Otherwise, every border town from Tijuana to Matamoros would share in the rising toll of raped and murdered women."

.... IMO, the last quote is not necessarily the case. Tijuana and other Mexican cities close to the border and west of Ciudad Juarez have massive amounts of tourism to support their people, mainly coming from California, and also the border there is heavily guarded (correct me if i'm wrong). In comparison, Ciudad Juarez has maquilladoras or sweatshops, and not much tourism... apart from the people from the military base... (?)

El Paso is about 10 miles from Ciudad Juarez.

When people are desperate, they will do anything. I'm sure that many of the women killed were lured into an isolated area because they were either promised money for something OR promised a way to get across the border unnoticed. A guy in uniform would certainly make them more willing...

Again, i don't know, it's just a suggestion..
