Last year, a friend of mine, Josh Magana, a U.S. Marine with 2nd Platoon, Echo Company stationed in Fallujah, Iraq, based in Camp Pendleton, California, was shot twice by Iraqi insurgents; once in the pelvis and once in the back. Almost the entire company was killed or wounded in the fighting.
I found out today that there's a book out (No True Glory) that mentions his name, and they will be making a movie from the book.
Josh is doing very well phisically. He wants to go back and finish the job. Something his family is not happy about. I respect him for wanting to go back, but feel he has done more than his fair share and think he should stay home with his family. (His daughter, Denea (3 yrs old), is my son's girlfriend, see picture below of them making out in the back of my truck.)
I just wanted to give props to Josh for his courage, honor and devotion to preserving the freedom of this country and providing an avenue of freedom for those less fortunate than us.
