What do you think about Kyoto Protocol?
I made an oral presentation on it and learnt a lot of things concerning the climatic changes and Kyoto...
Did you know the entire world produces around 24 000 000 000 tons of C02 each YEAR???
GAH
And that's only ONE effect of serra gaz...
Also, US produces around 6 000 000 000 tons of that (GHA 6!!! It's the QUARTER OF ALL)
Wouah!..
Personnally I'm Pro-Kyoto Protocol

And that's why I really think the US (Bush!) needs to accept the protocol instead of being conceited. Seriously, I think Bush can better spend those billions on saving the earth instead of wasting it on weapons and wars!
Its about time we all did something to help preserve our world, not for us, but for our children. Why does the US not want to sign up to Kyoto agreement - is it because it will cost industry and reduce the management pay checks? We need to act now - the truth is that no one knows what effect CO2 emissions are having, but in 50 years time, just a small rise in the worlds sea level will have a dramatic effect. Lets shame the US into responding by publicity and writing to whoever we can.
Did you know you can buy a small wind turbine to go on a house which will supply around 30% of your domestic energy needs for as little as £1,500?
Interesting...
My brother realized a small research on clean energies and compared the same energy producing between a park of eoliens and a nuclear central
RESULT:
Ouah, about 1 BILLION LESS!!! And no radioactive shit.
So I think it's a really good idea to use eoliens and solar pannels to produce your own energy.
I saw somewhere (in the same site as above, in my original topic.)
that in 50 years, the whole temperature might have changed from 2 to 6 celcius degrees and the oceans might have raised of 30 centimeters, puting in dangers the people who lives near the water and the little islands like Holland and things like this....
Protect environment!
when the people lead the leaders will follow.
all i have to say is we better get our booties in gear!!!
of the twenty-five percent that the USA produces, My truck probably accounts for about seven percent.
I'm against being controlled in the name of the environment in any way.

yup no person is forcing you to do anything
but, you better start getting prepared to have the environment knock at your front door and demand some action - especially seeing that you live in florida.
(last time I checked my science textbook - it showed Florida underwater when the glaciers melt - that's before considering whatever extreme weather might sweep through first)
Please don't get me wrong - I am not wishing any bad against florida. In fact I hope it keeps its beautiful beaches and protects those three of my loved ones who live there, along with everyone else in florida.
I hope so with all my heart.

Nobody wants to controll you. With declining oil reserves I am glad that I am not that dependant on expensive oil as you. That is another good reason to research alternatives

I live near the highest piont in central florida, and it will never be underwater. (it never has before)
Florida may turn into a chain of islands, but if it does, then my house will be beachfront property.
Anyway, I'm moving to Oregon in a year or two, because Florida sucks.
