Now,I want to find a free domain.I need your help!!!
Thank you !
You can register for a free .co.nr, .uni.cc or .biz.ly domain name from the following sites *respectively*
http://freedomain.co.nr/
http://www.uni.cc/
http://nic.biz.ly/
They dont place any popup banners or anything similar... If you register for a .co.nr or a .biz.ly domain, you'll have to place a small link back image on your main page though
try dot.tk also, but it's not really a free domain, just a forwarding service that shortens your long website name to a shorter and much-easier-to-remember domain name. its domains are also searchable in search engines
yah, but .tk puts pop ups, and a nasty toolbar that frequently multiplies into like 5or6 toolbars

and I really hate that! dot.tk isnt what it used to be before. It isnt worth the frames nor any ot the banners/popups
dot.tk used to be be good, it has gone seriously downhill-fast!
That top link looks promising... But there's a lot of worry about reliability with free DNS - has anyone used the .co.nr site before? Is it good? It doesn't seem to be ICANN registered (worryingly).

Good polish website, who's offering free domain is prv.pl.

I am using it for three sites. It is very good, you can take my word on that[if you want to that is
] I am not sure why they arent ICANN registered. I didnt understand what you meant by DNS reliability? Neither does .co.nr nor .uni.cc provide any DNS services. Although, biz.ly does. I havent used it though, so cant say much about it. .co.nr looks more cooler than .biz.ly
I though I replied to this topic... :S
anyway, eurodns.com has a free .be promotion at the moment. You can get [yourname].be for free, for one year.
From what I can remember, the same person that runs .co.nr also runs .biz.ly. And, the .uni.cc DNS service is coming back for new domains registered after the 15th December!
I don't think biz.ly, uni.cc and all the other free domain sites can register with ICANN. That is because, technically, they are giving you a subdomain of their domain. It still works the same, though.
http://www.nucleus.be
you can regeister a free .be domain here
www.gratisbe.be
up to 10 free domains each person. But the site is in dutch tough.
edit:
www.freebe.be for free .be domain name (english version)
Thank you I applied for .co.nr domain. The others didnt seem so cool. Even though I got .be domains, I didn't want to use it because after 1 year, I need to pay for it.
guys,
please visit freedns.afraid.org
right there you can have 5 free subdomain from any domain that hosted there. you can find cool domain there and just create your own cool subdomain. sorry I dont meant to advertise here
for instance I got free .info domain from idwebhost.com for one year so I choose to create domain called bo-tak.info. because idwebhost.com only gave me 1mb of webspace then I redirect my domain DNS to freedns.afraid.com
after that I can create subdomain and hosted to free webhosting providers on the internet as far as I can found
I got pala.bo-tak.info (pala.bo-tak is indonesian for bald-head) which is hosted at ciputat.indoserver.org
there where a lot of domains hosted at freedns, so you can choose any subdomain you want. have fun!!!

I use this service for over a month and its very nice...
I have 4 uni.cc domains and they work fine... Web builder needs a good update though...
I look the web for free domain and hosting. http://www.freewebspace.net gives list of them. http://www.freewebspace.net/php/search.php?a=1&b=0&form_language=&form_location=&form_space=0&form_adtype=&form_title=&form_hostType=REG&i=10&submit=Search gives 216 result and at least 1 is for you.

I've been using uni.cc since January 2004, and I think it's great! However, I recently discovered afraid.org, which has heaps and heaps of domains for you to choose (something like 18,000-20,000!!!) and what's more, the DNS propagation is almost instant (compared to 24 hours of .uni.cc)

hi
try use ne1.net |
I used to use r8.org (which is run by ne1.net) but I left them since they don't offer DNS services.
