Broncos going to the Super Bowl...

Who wants to make predictions about the inevitable Broncos v. Colts game this year. Personally my fingers are crossed that the third times gonna be the charm for the Broncs. Plummers playing the best I've seen him play since being in Denver, and I think the Colts heads are getting huge seeing as how they'll probably going into the playoffs undefeated. Feel free to lambast me with hateful comments, I always love a spirited argument.

Denver is not guaranteed the #2 position, but they have a favorable schedule, and probably only have a chance of losing the final game of the year to the Chargers. If Denver only loses that game, then Cincy would have to win all the rest of theirs to get the #2 spot, and their schedule is nice, except for the last week of the year, when they play in Kansas City.

Why is all that important? The #2 spot gets that bye week, and it is nice to have it!! It also gives them the home field for their first game - also really important.

I think Denver is a good team, but if they do NOT get that #2 seed, they may not be playing the Colts at all! Denver has shown they have trouble on the road against good teams, as they have lost on the road this year to Miami, NY Giants, and Kansas City. If they have to go to Cincinnati to play, I'd almost think they could easily lose that game.

But let us assume that all is well in Bronco Land, and they make it to the finals (and the Colts do also!). The Broncos will have to travel to Indianapolis for the AFC Championship Game. I'm sure I don't have to remind you that in the 2004 playoffs, the Colts won 49-24 at Indianapolis, and that in the 2003 playoffs, the Colts won 41-10 at Indianapolis. The only differences this year is that this time it will be for the AFC championship, and that they did not play a meaningless game in Denver late in the regular season.

I do not feel the score will be so lopsided this season, but if these two teams make it to the AFC Championship Game, I don't see Denver pulling it out of the hat.

P.S. I don't see the Colts finishing the season undefeated, as they will be resting starters, in the last couple of weeks.

Yes denver is in good form, but I don't see them facing off with the colts. I think that job will go to, believe it or not, the Bengals!!!! The Bengals are flying so far below the radar i don't think people really see fast they are coming! But either way it should be great game.

I don't think the Broncos can beat a quality team in the playoffs. Not with Jake the snake at QB. Especially since he's playing with both hands around his neck. Razz

As long as Jake Plummer "manages" the game, the Broncos will go far but the minute he starts tossing it up, Broncos will watching the rest of the playoffs at home.

Well I'm not sure if your implying a Cols v Bronco's superbowl, that unfortunately is impossible. Now we all know the Colts got #1 and the #2 will more than likely goto the bengals cause of their schedule.

Now lets talk radars... Jacksonville is way off the radars but they will goto the playoffs this year! Just look at their remaining schedule.

The bronco's will win their division along with the patriots so who could their possible opponents be? Either the Steelers or the Jaguars both have pretty stout defenses. Then they will more than likely get Indianopolis.. yes a hard hard road. Good luck to the Broncos.

See the thing is, is the Bengals have to go to Kansas City and play. That is just as difficult as a win as Denver in San Diego if not more difficult.

Denver will win a blowout in San Diego when they expose the secondary for what it is, a sham.

Wha?... The colts couldn't expose a weak secondary and you expect the poor air attack of Denver to expose it? Sorry but San Diego is now insta-studs. I know people may say Indy pulled their punches but they definately wanted to win.

Unfortunately San Diego's fate rests on other teams choking. That's never a good thing.

They did it once, they can do it again. Just watch.

Looks like I was right again. Man I am really getting sick of people not giving the Broncos their due. If the Patriots beat the Colts in Indy that means the Pats would have to go through Denver to get to the Super Bowl. I don't think they could do it. I don't think Denver can keep up with the Colts in doors, but I think the Patriots could. So right now I am thinking that the Broncos best hope is for Indy to be knocked out before the AFC Championship game.

i dont think denver will win it, im a buffalo bills fan, and unfortunatly things didnt go very well, i honestly think that the colts are gonna win it, not because of manning, james or harrison. because of the heart, dungys son just died and i think thats gonna him, just like when favres dad past away, it happens all the time, when something tragic happens that team does very well, plus having manning, james, and harrison isnt a bad thing either..watch out for my bills next year.

I am an odd guy. I look at the AFC and see Indy Losing.

I see PITTSBURGH vs. NEW ENGLAND in the AFC Title Again.. Both teams are rather "RED" hot and Indy hasn't played great the last 3 weeks.

NFC I see Tampa Winning it..

GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS!

Whoops! Thats why I never cast a single prediction. If I go for it I do picks all of them, then theres a chance I get one right.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd love to see another Indy/New England matchup in the AFC championship game. Indy is a very strong team, but I just don't see anyone beating Tom Brady and the Patriots. I just can't see it. No matter how good the Colts or anyone else are.
bigtwballer
all we need to kno is whoever the colts play (doesnt really matter....) colts will win.
u cant expect anyteam to beat the colts
dare i say it? i dont think even the stars of all the other offseason teams could play at the colts level(this of course is an exaggeration)

I'll give you that when they were 13-0, and were playing the Chargers, they did not play well. But the last two weeks, they had nothing to play for, and played their second string most of the games AND still won the last game!

You probably don't remember, but the Colts went 0-5 in the preseason this season, and didn't look all that good then either. I'll take the Colts at home - they should be fine.

I still can't believe how many Broncos doubters there are. I am failing to see how they can go 13-3 earn a bye, and then destroy the Pats and still have articles like the one below written about them.

i guess the better team won between pit and indy. I honestly couldn't see how the colts could lose to pittsburg. The first quarter was a disaster for manning. Most of the game was a disaster for him actually. But one play that was absolutly classic was that fourth down when he rebelled against Dungy and sent the special teams off the field and went for it. I am sorry, if that isn't pure leadership, i just don't know what is.

But you have to feel bad for vanderjagt (or whatever his name is). Dude really missed that kick. I mean REALLY missed it. Not even divine intervention could have saved that poor excuse for a kick. But well done to the Steelers. The Bus came this close to crashing his career on his last play.

hell, Denver might go to the superbowl afterall. But f--- it i'll root for Pittsburg.
