need sig making tutorial!!

i have seen lots of cool sigs, like with fancy graphics, colour blends, "gangster" style. How do I make them??? Would i use photoshop?? Plz help.

download GIMP, i'm assuming you have windows, from here....Make sure you download the GTK first, and install that before you install GIMP itself.

no it isnt his program but GIMP iss really good, its free, i find it quiet easy and its community is growing, on the other hand...photoshop cs 2 well...perfection....

well, PS CS2 uses lots of RAM, for some people cough me cough that is a problem. It is very good though, but it's also 800 dolars more expensive then GIMP Wink

.. I now render stuff in GIMP, and then do the rest with Photoshop.

As far ive been thru, PS CS2 is the best graphic making program. But it does take time before you know how to use all the tools to enhance your work. When i started i had problems knowing when to use several tools at once. It can destroy your work pretty easily. PS also comes with an expanding variety of plug ins! You basic PS would have about less than 20 options in the filter menu (cant remember how many). Well after the installing all the plugins, prolly you'd get 20extra filter options!

However, just like what Eyre said, PS can eat up alot of RAM. Like my PS has almost all the plugins installed which you can get over the internet, and by just executing PS, takes me 5mins. And im on a basic 256mb

GIMP don't have docking feature ... Anyway it is good for the free one .
