Please kuya Bondings, fix this bug....
My site is starting up and im having a similar problem with members
At the moment some server techs are working on it already for several hours. Hopefully they will be able to find and solve the problem soon.

Frihost is also losing a lot of members and credibility with every hour/minute. It's a disaster - I know.

Ok that was kinda a joke, but anyway..... Please Bondings try even harder to get it back up again!!
Hope the server problem is back soon, and i wish you luck with it.
Better a bit longer off line now then tomorrow again!
Please fix the problem, and maybe you can inform us what the problem was......
Can you make us sure that is a tech problem and not a fund problem?
And is this happening often that the server is down?
| ajvemmen wrote: |

That's easy. You can still reach your DirectAdmin control panel and use ftp . Those wouldn't be up in case of a funding problem. And no, Frihost doesn't have funding problems.

Please don't freak me out. It *hopefully* won't happen again.
I wont freak you out........
I really do'nt care how long you try to fix this problem.........i only care that is it is going to be fixed.....so take your time and make this thing work!!
I wish you the very best man!

Frihost will certainly not lose me. This is simple - if this would be an ordinary malfunction - it would be fixed right away. But apparently it is not an ordinary one. I can bet with any one that if such malfuction would happen on a paid hosting the downtime would be same.
cheers,
Arin.
i love this place , im sure bondings will call batman to come in and fix it!
*Sigh*
Funny though, I can ping the server, and I get all four packets back - 0% loss. Something must be wrong with one of the ports.
So whats the latest?? Been a couple hours, any new updates?
I was able to FTP my site, but I can't visit it through http... perhaps it has something to do with apache. I've only noticed it being down for about an hour. I'm sure the problem will be fixed soon.
Actually, apparently its been down for a few hours now. I think I read in the announcements forum that Bondings tried to re-install apache, but it didnt work. Too bad too, I just got my hosting when the server crashed.
Hope I don't have to wait much longer!
I m glad to announce that right now i am able to connect to my Firhost
Cheeers
Yeah, its working now. I wonder what went wrong.
I concur, frihost.net is back up.

You meant frih.net, frihost.net has always been up.
well done that man, you fixed it and everything is workin just fine
Out of interest what was actually wrong?

Well in my opinion the great quantity of SPAM that was made here has influenced the downtime. The deal with frihost is that you must post interesting topics...so it would be normal when you SPAM to have a little warning downtime
You can always find info about everything in the Announcements and Rules forum.
And here is thread related to this particular incident.
Cheers,
Arin.
It was some misconfiguration in apache. It took the server techs (who do these things as a job) over 10 hours to fix it, so I suppose the problem was quite unique.
-locked- because the server is back up
