Ok... here's the quick gist...

I am PHP/SQL ignorant. I am trying to teach myself, but I can not find a tutorial that actually tells how to set up anything relating to SQL. It says, "Set up blah blah blah" but doesn't tell you how.

Here is all I want it for:

I just want to be able to add forums to my site using PHPBB. I... am... clueless.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good source of information for this sort of thing?

Do you want a already made forum or are you trying to create one? I'm confused on the matter

Installing a forum is a piece of cake- It has been designed for beginers.

Upload all your files and usually run install.php. All the instructions should be doccumented

I will come back as a piece of code IF you do not havev PHP installed or...You are not running it through a webserver e.g Apache!

if all else fails you can let some one else host the forum for you. and you have total control over it just like it was running on your site you just add a link to it on your site. you can try this one here http://www.getaforum.com/
