Magic Find for RuneWord like um,pul,lo etc...
Magic Find doesn't affect the droprate of runes I believe not unless they changed it in the recent patch.
Anyway the best place to find runes that I can remember is from pindle although my memory may be sketchy at best. I played Diablo 2 for 3 years and quit around a year ago ><

i wonder if blizzard has any plans for a 3. It would be a shame if a sequel doesn't happen.
i was a fan of diablo 2 : lod now a 3 man i gotta jump on this asap im intrested in this 
The countess is always a good person and almost has a rune. If you play alot you can use your cube to get any rune you want.
You can upgrade runes all the way up to ZOD using your cube, just gotta collect, collect, collect..

XeononyX is right about trasnmuting the runes with your cube, but its not worth it to transmute anything past lem because you can trade rune for rune most of the time.
mf does affect the droprate of runes
the best place for runes is travincal on hell (act III)
sometimes they drop ber or jah runes
but u have to be without a party and have more than 400 mf
u need very much runs and a lot of mf charms
but there is a better way to get high runes
u have to make good runewords with runes less um
if u get a perfect runeword u can trade it for high runes gul+

Ya, I think if Blizzard made a new Diablo it would probably turn out better then WOW.
Unfortunately, Diablo 3 is an evil rumor, after WOW they will resume Starcraft. It will be a long time guys.

this is pretty contradictory....
anyway, you just have to be lucky... and I myself experienced good runes with Countess. As far as I can remember, she always dropped a rune for me.

you may be right about MF affecting the droprate, I played diablo 2 for about 3 years, but stopped in January and started playing WoW, so my memory is pretty fuzzy!!
