I think we should be able to install some of our own scripts that we own, like invision power board, vbulliten, etc. I dont understand why we are not allowed to even if this is free hosting.
Allowed to install our own paid software?
In the unlikely chance that you've actually paid to use them.
You first need to prove to me that you own the license. A very big majority of vBulletin/IPB boards are nullified. (in fact every board we found till now)
If you paid the huge liscence fees for vbulletin or IPB probably you will be paying for a web hosting.
I am not saying frihost is inferior to paid hostings, but then you wont be knowing that before you came here.

And we all know PHPBB has greater skin networks and assistance...

I know IPB has the same. But I'm not sure about vBulletin.
I personally hate vBulletin, I find it extremely hard to navagate compared to phpBB. And IPB, not for me either. I tried it once elsewhere, and there was soo much to configure, it boggled my mind. It would probably take me longer to configure (not code) IPB than it would for me to write a 10 KB webpage.
Well, I see no point in paying drastic amounts for a paid forum when you have free web hosting... Free Web Hosting is meant to be for people who can't afford paid, isn't it?
Why pay so much when there are already great free ones?
