ok i will look in to the mail later , but the domain is important ,
i have a domain in godaddy and when i try to add the NS it says it is not a valid TLD , so just wanted to ask are we still using the old NS , cuz i have a subdomain account with Frihost from before
I'm sure it's - ns1.frihost.net & ns2.frihost.net on the Cpanel server..
If you are using Directadmin then it's - ns1.frih.net & ns2.frih.net
Try again
lets see if it works
i have added the addon domain and have put a redirect to the url of the frihost subdomain , but it still wont work
it takes me to cgi folder, that means the dns is working but not the cpanel

First of all, don't use the redirect, it's not needed. (people will then see the subdomain instead of the domain.
Please post the domain and I'll take a look at it.

The domain is setup properly, like it should.
The problem is your cms, xoops I think, that redirects the site to your subdomain. You most likely need to change it either in some config file or in the config table in the database. (subdomain-->domain)
yeah boding ur were right ,
the new xoops has changed a lot since old versions , the domain is working now ,
but i still have some problems with the mail , can u give me the following information ?
Mail delivery method
should it be phpmail, smto, smtp aut or send mail . i think phpmail should work
Path to sendmail
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Path to the sendmail program (or substitute) on the webserver.
SMTP host(s)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SMTPAuth username
Username to connect to an SMTP host with SMTPAuth.
SMTPAuth
Password to connect to an SMTP host with SMTPAuth.
(password and i am guessing this will be the root user name and pass)
Yeah, try it with phpmail. That mail function really should be working.
but u have not told me what will be the path
You shouldn't need to type a path for phpmail. It doesn't need it.
If phpmail doesn't work, try sendmail. The path to sendmail is /usr/sbin/sendmail

ok the problem is solved , the culprit was hotmail and yahoo , they were sending mail in junk , now it is fixed ,
so thanks for support
