Firefox hit its second major milestone Tuesday with the release of version 1.5, arriving just over a year after the alternative browser debuted at 1.0. The update sports Mozilla's new Gecko 1.8 rendering engine to speed up Web surfing, along with a myriad of other fixes and improvements.
Notable changes in Firefox 1.5 include the ability to reorder tabs, faster back and forward buttons, a feature to clear personal data, improved accessibility and popup blocking, along with support for more Web standards such as SVG, CSS 2 and CSS 3, and JavaScript 1.6. Firefox 1.5 is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Why doesn't Firefox find the new version when I have it check for updates yet?
I don't know why can't update,You can get a new setup to install!
New home for Mozilla Firefox & Thunderbird I guess - http://www.mozilla.com
They are stopping the usage of http://www.mozilla.org ?
I think that they are letting people download the new version first, as they know they will get a lot of traffic. Later your automatic update function should kick in and work correctly (probably when the hubub dies down a little).
If you want 1.5 (get it, I've been beta testing for a while and it's much better) than just download it and install over your old version of firefox.
If you find that you aren't able to use all the extensions you are used to, download the "nightly tester tools" extension and everything should work again.
I never use it yet before
but I heard that it's a good internet explore
Best browser ever.
I hope it is getting even better.
very good. i hope this browser exceed all, especially maxon.
Firefox is the best. It has so many great features and doesn't have the problems IE constantly presents. I also don't have the update so thanks to the man who posted about that.
Does anyone think in the near future that Firefox will outdo IE?
No.
IE will outdo firefox (once the majority of the world uses firefox)

I love ireFox and with this version I think they are gonna be doing a good work as always. I still have to go through the proggy but it sure is promising. I had tried the beta and relly loved the new features that they had incorporated.
I use avantbrowser
Its out, I have it, It rocks, but its full of bugs.... For one it won't play streaming clips....
The new version seems to be pretty sweet. I particularly like how you can drag and reposition tabs. Other than that, haven't really noticed to many big changes and I haven't really run into any serious bugs. I still think it's by far one of the best ones out there, way superior to IE and really similar to Safari.
tbsly
I am using it right now. It is very small around 5MB for the setup file. It is a fast browser. I like the tab for browsering the web. What theme are you guys using? I am using iFox. I like Apple's design.
