I have the Flash 5 program, but not the knowledge to use it. Please help.
Flash 5
Use the tutorial which comes with Flash. If you dont find it to be helpful, you might want to try out this tutorial:
http://www.w3schools.com/flash/default.asp
Or just google for "basic tutorials for flash"

The best books I have found is the idiots guides and the dummies guides.
Flash 5 is very very powerful and has tons of features and tools.
If you try to use it you'll just get frustrated so the best thing is a good book.
I hope this helps.

I found the tutorials that came with my flash to be very helpful, and like someone else stated if you do flash tutorial or some variation of that in a google search you will find plenty of tutorials to help you learn flash..it just takes some practice.
Just get in to the google search engine and search for "flash tutorials" and then u can get the required tutorial
www.pixel2life.com is also a good place for tutorials
and it would be good if u start using Flash of newer versions(maybe Flash 8 or Flash MX 2004)
U see Flash 5 is getting much more older
Avk :-)

I am working through learning Flash also, and the tutorial that comes with Flash is very helpful for me. I also found a book (but it is kind of expensive), that shows exactly how to do everything with pictures: It is from the Teach yourself Visually series, published by Kinkoph. I have no connection to the company -- just wanted to pass on something that helped me.
Flash 5 for dummies, the beginner's guide.
