Ok, I didn't know where to put this so i put it here.
The other day i came across a tutorial for creating a phpBB yourself. i have searched and searched but still no luck, could someone point me to the right direction?
I don't understand at least 2 things here:
1. You say you found a tutorial, but need help searching for it 
2. What do you mean, create a phpBB? Like your own php board? Or a customized version of phpBB? Let me explain it in a little more detail. I was searching the forum's for unanswered posts when i came across a topic about creating your own phpBB forum. I was in the middle of making one and then a problem came up. I posted a reply back which took the post off the unanswered list. I've sorted out the problem but a friend wants me to make them a forum.
I guessed that the topic was posted in the "tutorial" section but when I came back earlier today I couldn't find it. I tried using the search button (at the top of every page) and tried to filter it out by searching the last 7 days topics post - in tutorials. I'm also quickly searched the "PHP, HTML & JavaScript" section with no luck.
The tutorial gave you the address of where to download the forum files, and also some suggestions of which host you could use that had PHP, MySQL, etc. I also told you everything about setting certain file permissions but I cannot remember it fully which is why i would like to read it again.
I remember the tutorial recommended 3/4 websites to host your forum, one of tehm being freeownhosts.com. I am not fussed about this though. All i would like is to read the step-by-step guide again.
Ah, that makes more sense. Guess you have nothing to do then to keep searching. I'll try too.

I've tried searching the forum again but still no luck. If anybody reads this and know where its located then could you PM me the URL to it as I won't visit this topic again.
In the mean time i will have to use this tutorial: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/build-a-phpbb-forum, but it DEFINITLY NOT BETTER than the one somewhere on this site.
