LCD TV and games...

bicefalus
Hello everyone out there...

Does anybody have a LCD TV to play games at home?

I read that these new LCD TVs with HD are good for gaming or watching DVDs but not so much for working with your PC (office applications, etc.)

Does anybody have experience on this?
If so, which brand of LCD-TV do you have and
what should I look at when buying one.

Thanks in advance!

LCDs have slower refresh rates than CRTs. At least that's been the case for a while. It may have changed now. CRTs are the best for gaming... best quality you're going to get. LCD TVs aren't good for computers cause (I think) they're only 480i unless you have an HD LCD TV while computer monitors are actually "HD" as they have many more lines of resolutions than TVs do.
