Powerbooks and Linux distros
Hello everyone,
I used to be a hardcore PC user and for a couple of years and before Apple came out with OS X, I've always wondered why the Apple people have not worked the Nix community to combine their expertise and give Windows a run for their money. Let me tell ya, when they did do that, I'm now a Mac convert. I love it and find it hard to go back and use Windows like I use to!
anyway, my question to all of you is that I'm looking to get a powerbook now but only when they use the G5 instead of the G4 as we have now. Has anyone heard anything?
I'm also planning to install Novell's SuSE on it instead and make it dual boot. Lately, I've been experimenting with Ubuntu and I must say it's impressive considering it's low cost or free to download. is it enterprise ready? not sure but pretty darn close.
thoughts? concerns? any feedback is appreciated
