MySQL SUBselect queries and Nested queries

I'm trying to learn more about SUBselect queries, and Nested queries in MySQL. can anyone point me in the right direction as far as online guides or tutorials? I would also like to read up on triggers in mysql. I know that triggers is a new feature of mysql 5.0, but if anyone is knowledgable about these or knows where I can find material please let me know. thank you
