I use windows but am very interested in linux...i don't know much but i would like to learn more about...i was actually thinking about running linux and windows on the same computer just to switch back and forth to see wat the pluses and minuses are
I personally use WinXP 32-bit, but, like the poster before me, I am very interested in Linux. I recently obtained a copy of Knoppix, a live-on-CD distro. I tried it on Virtual PC, and liked it. The only reason I havent switched is because I think Windows is much more reliable, and its easier to obtain programs that run on Windows.

But it could be hard to find specific programs that work with linux...

With Linux?!, linux can run lots of orignial open source programs and even if you can't find the program to do the thing you want with it then just use a 'wine' and run the windows program on linux, most windows programs work well on linux using a wine.
