Uhm...FriHost already has built in Chat Script that you can use....same with its Fantastico installation..

You can build one yourself. I already made it in php and one php/mysql, so it can't be that hard!
Of course they won't be so reliable and stable as a real one, but it's a good exercice.do u mean a live chat script or somethink like a guestbook?
Guestbook will be to write, thats coming from me and ive only just started teaching myself php & MYSQL *Complicated at times* but worth it.
