Question ending with who/whom?

Peterssidan
Is it correct to end a question with who/whom?

If person A tells person B that he should talk to some other person but person B don't catch the name or don't understand who this person is, is it correct for B to reply "Talk to whom?"

A: Talk to Üxzlajasd.
B: Talk to whom?

And is it correct to use whom here? I'm not used to differentiate between who and whom. To me who sounds better almost everywhere but after reading about it online I think it should be whom because the question could be answered "him" (assuming it is clear whom him is referring to).

Who sounds better to me too, but you're correct, if one takes grammar rules, it looks like whom. But whom sounds wrong to me. I'd say "talk to who?"

Does it also look better? If this was part of a game and the dialog was presented as text-only would you consider it sloppy to use "talk to who?"
