default files sequence

cambridge
on your server index.html has higher priority than index.php.

as I remember apache configuration, default page sequence can be set for whole server, but can I change it for my server only?

I would like index.php to be on the first place
Bondings
The server will search for index.html, if it doesn't find index.html, if will look for index.php.

If you have both an index.html file and an index.php file in one directory and you want the php to be executed, place the following in a .htaccess file:
"DirectoryIndex index.php"

(you can also use something completely different like me.hml)
grantmaster
or just rename index.html to something like me.html

if index.php exists
then it will be evaluated first

but didn't he already say that
