Can't restore database

Jamatu
Continued from this thread - http://www.frihost.com/forums/vt-16418.html

It was working fine but it was using an updated database for an old version so I decided to continue with the steps that Fantastico told me to do. I try and restore database but it just isn't accepting it.

Quote:
If you don't have SSH access, ask support to help you:
- Remove the directory /home/jamatu/public_html/forums
- Untar /home/jamatu/fantastico_backups/forums.backup.1132237567.tgz
- Empty the database jamatu_phpb1
- Import the file /home/jamatu/fantastico_backups/forums/backup.sql into the database jamatu_phpb1
- Move /home/jamatu/fantastico_backups/forums to /home/jamatu/public_html/forums

The bit i'm having problem with is restoring the database, sometimes it gives me errors other times it just does nothing.

when I try and upload it from my computer it says
Quote:
File could not be read (4)

If I try and restore the database from the sql file on the server it gives me this

Bump, edited the post alot and changed the title name to make it more appropiate.

Anyone got any idea why the database isn't restoring? I don't wanna start the forum from scratch :<

Maybe try to split the commands into smaller parts. As long as you don't split them in the middle of a command, it should have the same effect.

Trying that now, searched this site a bit and found http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php looks promising! I'll get back to you after i've tried it.
