but somebody advised IBM X series..

sony vaio in my opinion is a very good laptop, neva had one but i am very close to buying one and from the reviews ive read, its very good. also wats your budget?

The HP Compaq presario series is nice. Also, I like the Alienware Area-51M series.

Desktop:
Always is it better to go with a self constructed system. You get to choose the parts used. Very Happy

I have being using many different laptops before when I worked as a sale repre. I think Thinkpad is the best. It never gets overheated, it crashed much fewer times than other brands. It looks professional...
