what is the point of the private_html folders.

Are we able to access that over a webbrowser without ftp or directadmin??

Actually, that isn't correct. private_html is for the https page on your hosting. The SSL (https) uses a shared certificate, so every one on the server will use that same certificate.

Just try going to https://[yoursite].frih.net/. You'll probably see a placeholder. See https://www.dansoftaustralia.net/ to see what I mean (this is on another host, so maybe the FriHost placeholder looks different). Any files you put in the private_html will be accessible via the https link.

I just found this out through playing around (one of my sites is hosted on another free host that uses DirectAdmin)
