So here it is:
Andromeda May Be Arriving Ahead Of Schedule

Our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda:

Recent analysis of past observations made by the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope have found a
massive halo of hot, heavy gas surrounding our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda.
This expansive mass of material around Andromeda could mean that it will begin merging with the Milky Way ahead of schedule.

So let's wait for this merging Wink

Even if this is true we won't get to remotely experience something like this in our lifetime. I think that the time that it will take will still be in millions of years which is pretty normal on a universal scale. At that time, humanity and life on earth might cease to exist and noone will get to see it first-hand.

But, there are other galaxies that are merging in deep space. Are there images of those? I just hope that we get to see even more of such universal marvels in our lifetime as technology advances.

If you had followed the link and read the article you would have seen that the merging may already be underway.
I don't understand what you mean by 'experiencing' the merger or 'seeing it at first hand'......just exactly what do you expect to experience or see?
