Traffic Logging Question

I use pphlogger to track traffic to my site. Of course it logs pages that visitors go to.
I noticed that sometimes I'll have a hit with the referrer being a search engine, but no pages are logged.
Is this just a "search' done by the search engine and not necessarily someone actually viviting my site?
Also, Is this good or bad or makes no difference?

It is a webspider searching your site. But your desciption of the log indicates that it does not spider all your site, wich is a bad thing (unless that is what you want)

Ok, how could I get it to spider all my site? what steps can I take?

You can find a lot of information in the "Site Advertisement and SEO" forum hera at freehost.

But just the first steps:

1) Add your start URL at the search engine site
2) Make sure your start page links to all sub pages
