Hi guys,

I just thought I would clear up the 4 Euro mystery on EuroDNS.

Instead of merely slinking away when I saw my shopping basket gather the 4 Euro price tag for my supposedly FREE .be domain name, I thought I would enquire as to the discrepancy in advertising and the truth.

This is a transcript of the email traffic between us.

I appreciate that it might seem a little anal, but when a company advertises something as completely free, but it turns out to no longer be the case, then that seems as though it's bordering on fraudulent to me...

and yes, I'm just pi@#ed that I missed the boat for the free registrations Wink

I appreciate that they were free for a time, apparently, then obviously you all thought that due to the popularity, it would be a good idea to rip off the newer people arriving. Well, unfortunately, not this person.

I have posted the transcripts of these emails in my visited webhosting forums so that others do not also get similarly deceived by your company.

Well, the lastest inspirational idea is that my current dns chosen IP may have been used before to register sites, so I'll rotate that and try again Wink

I'll keep this updated in here, just in case I'm making an A$$ of myself. Or, on the other hand, in case they have decided to actually try and rip people off with a dodgy offer; although it's probably me - after all, when are customer support people ever wrong, especially those with such a bad command of the English language?

I tried registering a .be domain few days back, Although It said 0.00Euro but was showing 4.00 Euro in the cart.Now next day when I tried it was showing 0.0 only for that same domain and guess what even when i try right now it gives me 0.0. I don't know what the mystery is.

PS : When you need to add more info to your post, you can always use the EDIT BUTTON(located on right side of your posts) instead of keep making new posts, specially when no reply has been posted yet.

Hmmm I got mine for free...don't know what the deal is. I didn't have to give them a credit card number or anything.

I got my .be domain for free when I went into the cart it said 0.00 and I made sure becuase I really do not want to pay for it I will rather buy a .com I think when you have over 10 .be domains registered they charge you 4.00 for every domain you register after that.
