Interactive map of bird evolution

Ankhanu
I came across a neat interactive depiction of bird relatedness/evolutionary history. I've only checked out a couple branches so far, but it appears that it may well include all extant Aves species within its fractal branching, showing where they split off from ancestral groups.

It looks really well done, and highlights some interesting groupings that aren't immediately apparent from current species morphologies and niches. Zoom around, take a look and consider how these groups may have come about.
