arm executable run on x86-64?

candido
Hi,

I have installed cross toolchain arm-linux-gnueabihf for compile arm target source modules on x86 host machine.

I dont understand why arm executable elf format run on x86-64/linux/GNU platform without a emulator machine like qemu. I have qemu installed but i dont open it for run arm program

Some idea? Thanks

According to this page it is possible to have QEMU run automatically: https://wiki.debian.org/QemuUserEmulation
Quote:
This page describes how to setup and use QEMU user emulation in a "transparent" fashion, allowing execution of non-native target executables just like native ones (i.e. ./program).

If you uninstall QEMU it will probably stop working.
