Many people know of her bravery as she stood up a long time ago to the racists in Georgia at the Bus Company. They told her that, because she was colored, to sit at the back of the bus. She refused. I honor her and if it weren't for her i probably wouldn't be drinking out of the same water fountains as white people or going to the same schools or even be typing on this computer. Rest in peace.
So Long Rosa Parks
I totally respect what she did.
But that was years ago. Today we have that law that says you cannot discrimiate by race, religion, national origin, etc. So, why does everyone keep bringing it up.
If I were black, and I am not, I would live my life in a way that ASSUMES I have equal rights. If someone snubbed me I would say "it cannot be because I am black, so why is it".
If the reply is that it is because you are black then I would say "you are breaking the law".
There is an element of chess to disputes. Our system gives us a civilized way to deal with dis agreements. We talk it out. Now, if while talking it out or writing it up it comes out that you are a liar, well, then, you are the cause of the violence and shortages that we all experience today.
Rosa Parks inspired me. So did Martin Luther King. So did Ronald Regan. I am an American.
