Should i bother to learn HTML? Im only making personal sites etc. and i dunno if i should bother to.

Why does everyone seem to hate WSYIWYG mode?? I know the code is crappy but there isnt any disadvantage in the final product is therE?

Well, its a good place to start if you are like 8, but if you are older than about 15 you should learn HTML, if not you will get lazy, and will never learn, there is a big difference in what they do, WSYIWYGs only allow the res of your computer to see it properly, but if you know HTML you can use tables or what not so that everyone can see it regardless of res,

If you want a WYSIWYG html Editor you can use NVU http://www.nvu.com. It's freeware.

WYSIWYG Editors are notorious for not staying any good beyond the one screen size you make it in, lacking many options there are in web coding, being designed for IE or one specific browser and not using code thats cross browser complient, and they usually load slower.

So yes theres lot of advantages to actually learning the code.
