I hope this was not already in the FAQ, I believe not, I tried to find it in the list. I have already registered a domain (a .be one), but when I apply for the hosting plan, there is no option given for people who already have a domain name. So this is not an option?

no problem you can get the sub-domain and park your domain in your control pannel and make your domain to point to frihost hosting account
Either request it in the 'comments' or otherwise just add the domain in directadmin. (advanced settings)
