Six Million Get Obamacare

Pretty awesome numbers.

Quote:

Wednesday is a big day for Obamacare. Because it's the day that at least 6 million Americans gain health coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Except, health policy experts don't expect it to feel like a big day, at least not for the country's millions of health-care providers. They don't expect huddled masses showing up at their local emergency department when the clock strikes midnight and their insurance coverage kicks in. Nor do they think most Americans will find their doctors suddenly unavailable, swamped with new patients they need to see -- not on New Year's Day, and maybe not ever.

That figure was supposedly meaningless, days later it was admitted that they still had no clue because I guess they're still trying to figure out how to get a computer to add numbers (without crashing), maybe

It could be up to a half that at 3.3 million have only picked a plan with about 20% of them all paid up.

Pretty awesome number, someday it'll be 7 million and then it'll be more awesome, but not as awesome as 8 million. Because then it would be so awesome like midnight basketball or cash for clunkers and it will be as financially secure as social security, the postal system and amtrack

Even if that number is correct it's only about 2% of the US population. So for something that people make such a big deal about the fact that it is only affecting 2% of our population is kind of sad really.

As can be seen from the two posts above, RW conservatives don't want anything good to happen in the country if it is associated with Pres. Obama. It's a big reason the GOP and conservative movement is falling apart--sensible, non-extremist conservatives don't tolerate this negativity, this sabotage of progress. Sarah Palin is even praising Putin while attacking Obama. It's bizarre and sad.
