I use Faucet to get Bitcoins.
http://freebitco.in/?r=54677

They will pay around 0.00000200 BTC every hour.
They will transfer the BTC to your account when you reached minimum 0.00005460 BTC..

Cybersa, at the site you mentioned do you have to enter CAPTCHA's every hour? If you do you realize you are helping scammers, and spammers right. Your essentially working for a CAPTCHA farm http://areyouahuman.com/old-macdonald-had-a-captcha-farm-inside-the-world-of-human-captcha-solvers/.

Just FYI.

One of the biggest bitcoin exchanges MtGoX has had some disasterous problems recently and maybe some years.

. The source code for the site was leaked
http://techcrunch.com/2014/03/03/mt-gox-source-code-leaked-by-hackers-along-with-team-information-customer-data/

. $460 millionish worth of bitcoins were stolen, gone missing

There is hope that by using a public transaction ledger built into the bitcoin system some of the bitcoins can be tracked to the account they ended up in. And some thieves can be found if/when they exchange the virtual coins to real coins.

I think it is no longer safe to trade bitcoins. It was once a big hit. I really wanted to get in when it was trading at $100. But then I had no means of buying bitcoins at that time. I noticed the price went up 10 folds after that.

Then came the news about millions in bitcoins being stolen. There were also news about how police cracked down on some deep web activities which used bitcoins. News like these spread and bitcoins was not considered safe anymore. The biggest bitcoin trade mtgox.com also seems to have closed down their operations. Currently, it seems to be trading at around 650 USD but I would not risk buying it.

WOW! That is interesting news. Looks as though bitcoins are being tested. On the other hand can't help wonder whether it could be a Big Bank conspiracy as of course they would see Bitcoins as a threat?

Things are getting unusual in the unusual bitcoin world.

Another bitcoin exchange was looted clean through a flaw in the frontend of their website

Bitcoin Exchanges have a history of going down like that

Plus the CEO of a company supposedly died of suicide

I was lucky enough to pick up a good amount of Bitcoins in the beginning, it was just by luck as I had never been into this kind of thing, but it is actually rather interesting and I stuck with it.

As for Bitcoins and not being safe to use. It's the same as using or doing anything on the internet, it is up to you how you keep yourself and your property safe while on this dream machine. There have been some mishaps with Bitcoin, but it still is one of the go to Crypto Currencies which just allows it to speak for itself.

As for the best place to learn about Crypto Currencies and not just Bitcoins, Google is the "G" and should be consulted. Preev.com is the beat, in my opinion, for seeing the exchange rate to tangible currencies and other Crypto Currencies.

There are countless places to get free Bitcoins and other Crypto Currencies for that matter. A few searches in Google and you are good to go. I use cex.io for Bitcoin exchanging and ghash.io for Bitcoin and other mining and the great thing is they work hand in hand.

Offline and paper wallets are probably the safest bet with any Crypto Currency. I currently stand with a little over 20 full Bitcoins and slowly getting more after a long period of time. It's kind of a closed pool now, but might be worth a risk to someone new....

People are now taking Bitcoins more seriously. There's even a Lynda.com course named up and running with Bitcoins Razz

There is this Brazilian guy who lives in New York and wants to sell his apartment in São Paulo, but doesn't even want to think about trading it for regular cash because of the transfer taxes, which, in Brazil, are dictatorial. So he announced he's willing to trade for Bitcoins, and Bitcoins only.

Things have changed and keep changing.

Not considering the other sorts of coins that have popped up since then, in my opinion it IS safe to buy and trade. Just keep in mind that the price fluctuates up and down. Which is pretty normal.

I never bought or sold bit coins in my life. I heard about them when they were hitting their highest trading rates. I really wished that I owned some bit coins at that time. But sadly, I never took interest it crypto currency before that day. I even tried mining some bitcoins. I remember downloading a bunch of bit coin mining sofwares to see how it worked. After trying for a while I learned that I was too late to the game and it was virtually impossible for me to mine some decent amount of bit coins with the processor and gpu that I had at that time.

I heard that the biggest bit coin markets were filing for bankruptcy and I think that it's not something to invest in anymore. So, I really don't think about this crypto currency anymore. But I do keep hearing a lot about DogeCoins.

I made a mistake on my log on and got totally locked out of here. I do not recommend them at all anymore. Also trading between coins is a sure way to loose. I now trade between dollars and coins.

I have settled for https://bitnz.com/

I can buy and sell bitcoins in NZ dollars. By doing tis I have doubled my bitcoins in just over a year.

They seem to be an honest company an are in New Zealand where I am.
