"President Karzai is a grandstanding buffoon"?

JoryRFerrell
"President Karzai is a grandstanding buffoon who should be put in his place once and for all. He wouldn't be president of Afghanistan if it weren't for the U.S., and he should be made to never forget that fact."

The above is an excerpt from:
http://www.nationaljournal.com/defense/insiders-poll/security-insiders-with-karzai-s-delays-time-to-plan-for-the-zero-option-in-afghanistan-20131209

With American...."Insiders" saying shit like this, why shouldn't we expect that people in his own country will not respect him. Not only is he possibly going to be over-ridden by us in terms of policy, but we are essentially saying he is our puppet, we whittled his ass, and he needs to remember we have his strings. Why the hell do "strategic policy makers", "insiders", and puppet-makers control our countries interaction with a country full of people who already want our heads?

Problem with Afghanistan and Pakistan are the same.

Many people in the society have become extremists.

And these extremists are controlling the Media and Mosques (which are better places for doing propaganda than the Media).

The worst thing is this that Secular forces are very weak in these 2 countries. And Islamists take full advantage of this.

Main problem is the emergence of Wahabiat all over the Muslim world. So, it is not only Pakistan and Afghanistan, but whole Muslim world is moving rapidly towards the extremism.

This extremism is not only directed against the West, but it is perhaps even more directed towards Muslim society itself, towards the other sects and Muslims are declaring each other Kafirs at moment and also killing each other in name of Allah.

Ok...but more to the point of this specific topic, do you think it is detrimental to an already unstable situation, for politicians to do or say such things?
