I want to know how can I customize these sub headings that appear in Google search.

I think it's called SEO sculpting.

Google will pick the sitelinks automatically from your site so the only way you can affect them is to make changes to your site and internal links. If your site have sitelinks in Google I think you should be able too see them in webmaster tools and be able to disable the ones you don't like.

As your site gets older, popular and more reliable you will automatically get those sub headings. I had a site that had those subheadings but those got removed recently. I do not know why.

When I had subheadings, there was an option for me to single out the ones that I wanted to be removed from the searches. I did not have the option to add those by myself.

By using google webmaster tool you can easily select the pages which you want to show publically for the viewers.
