Hi, do you like riddles?

I got the idea to make a post for general riddles, after having read the Bob race post....

Let's make our mind work a little bit!!

If you have a good one, post it here

Here's my favorite one... I've solved it in 5 minutes. I am a math fan!

1116
3116
132116
1113122116

Now tell me, what's the next row of numbers??
mOrpheuS
I'm guessing it will be
311311222116

But there's not much mathematics involved here.
n0obie4life
I agree. It's just patterns. Using common sense solves it.

132116
1113122116
311311222116

The bold is my guess.

it's good for an IQ test.
no problem for me to guess.

eh, how do you get this solutions? whats the system?
karysky
I know that it is not math, strickly speaking. But I like anything that involves numbers!

Speaking of which, I am going to study, I've got a math exam in 5 hours.

And by the way, you've all got the right answers!

Anyone's got a new one? I'll try to find one after my exam..

I have one, but it is SUPER easy. Well, here it is.

 Quote: A man builds a house with four sides and a rectangular shape. All of th four sides has Southern exposure. A bear comes wandering by the house. What color is the bear?

Well... there it is. It is really easy.
karysky
Is the answer: no color at all?

Because there are no bear in Southern countries?

lol I don't know...

Like n0obie4life said, it's probably not solvable if you keep hacking around it as a mathematician.
Read the digits in the number aloud, you should be able to figure it out.
Each number is actually a count of number of times a digit appears consecutively in the previous number, followed by the digit itself.

eg. there's one 6 in 6 -> 1 6
now, there's one 1 and one 6 in 16 -> 1 1, 1 6
next, there's three 1's and one 6 in 1116 -> 3 1, 1 6
and so on...

White is my guess based upon the assumption that only polar bears wander about at the north pole.

meh... it's close enough. The answer is white. I just want to say though that the house would be at the South Pole.

I insist that only a house at the dead center of the north pole will have all the walls with southern exposure.

Besides there are no Polar bears at the South pole.
Only penguins.

morpheus is absolutely right, I don't know where you got that idea there blackomen

We got that in school one day, so I just said what my teacher said, but what u say does make sense.
