I watch most of my topics untill they get to the 2nd and 3rd pages.

I usually only whatch the ones that are going to anwser a question of mine.
I have it set to automatically watch any topic i post in. Whats the point of posting if your not getting the feedback and responses to your post!

It depends a lot on the topic. Some of them I just want to make a comment or answer a question for someone, others I am actively seeking information. In the former case I would not ask for notification, in the latter case I would ask for notification.
