Skype and other Internet telephony programs

Anyone have experience of other telephony programs than Skype when ringing from a computer to a telephone?
I have tried MyWebCalls but there were lots of dropouts with their new SIP dialer.
Anyone know of a free service?
I am using Skype now for calls to foreign countries and it works very well, but there may be better ones out there

As we have family members in many parts of the world, we have utilised Skype ever since it came out. Over time it has improved a lot and about half a year ago I purchased a couple of wireless phoned from them so we can use them for landline calls via Skype.

A perfect product, love that its absolutely free on a PC / PC basis and the price for their call to land based phones are totally resonable.
In short, we save a pile on phonecalls.

Now where Ebay have gobbeled them up I suppose Ads will show up in the PC /PC version, so the future remains to be seen.
