Did Bob lie?
Mary told Bob she won the race.
Bob said to Todd, "Mary told me she won the race"
Months later Bob discovered that Mary did not win the race.

bob clearly said, "Mary told me she won the race." Mary did tell Bob she won the race which would make Mary a dirty rotten lier.
Mary lied - not Bob!

Let's rephrase it:
Mary was forced to tell Bob that she won the race in order to keep her job, even though she knew it was very unlikely.
Bob said to Todd, "Mary told me she won the race"
Months later Bob discovered that Mary did not win the race.

Actually Mary only told Bob that she supposed she had "intended" to win the race.
Bob said to Todd - "Mary has won the race".
Despite Todd protesting this as a lie, Bob then collected the bet money from Todd, killed Todd's wife and children and occupied Todd's house.
Months later Bob admitted that Mary did not win the race.
bob is not omniscient, but he did not lie.
to discover something, you have to have no prior knowledge of it, therefore bob is not omniscient.

What do we know here? Mary lies about winning the race, and later Bob learns about the lie.
What tells us at all that Bob participated to the race????
I think he did not win the race because he did not participate. Wouldn't he know who was the winner if he had participated???
That's my opinion....
