Quick graphics (image) editor

Da Rossa
Some of us often take screenshots to show other people steps to complete certain tasks. I, for example, take some screenshots, crop and resize with IrFanView then save in .jpg. Afterwards, I open Paint.NET to draw arrows, write big text on the image to draw attention, draw lines and circles. This is all so tedious.

Have you got a free and simple Windows app to recomend me to acomplish the task above? Specially the drawings part...

Thanks!

way off topic. this is a full blown app.

Thanks RX! I'll take a loot at Screenshot Captor.
And yes, Gimp is totally out of topic because it's a full image editing application (and complicated). Also takes a time to load.

Edit: SC is just THE tool! Very Happy thanks RX!

You're welcome!
I'm glad I helped.

Snag-It is not free but it is highly recommended and if you keep watching you may also get a free license in the giveaways which is common for this software. It is capable of doing all of your needs in the best way.

I've tried a lot of screenshot tools and at work we have a snagit license so I can use it for free.

I uninstalled it because I've had a few crashes on it and it is more then just a screenshot tool.
it will also act as a screenshot library.... where you can select previous screenshots.

since I just wanted a simple and descent screenshot tool with some functionality to add arrows, boxes and text I decided to uninstall snagit and tried a few tools.

last year I tested greenshot and today it still it my favorite tool for screenshots.

Just press Prnt Scrn, select the region you want to capture, select the option you want to use and that's it.

I use also GIMP.

Screenpresso is another nice tool for this purpose. The free version is good enough to capture screen shots and supports nice and good looking annotations, like text, boxes, text in a bubble, arrows ...

I am using CTRL+Print for screenshoot and then just paste in any editor.
