Boot issue

My friend's laptop is giving this weird beep sound continuously and fail to boot after showing Windows Xp logo. Do you guys have any idea about it?

Did you try to load boot help menu. Press and keep pressed F8 or F12 key. This will take computer in DOS mode where you can chose different boot. Try (somethint like) "Boot last good known configuration..." and see are this can help.

The beeping may suggest an issue with the RAM memory or overheating.
I'm going with the RAM because the system fails to boot, so I(m guessing that the system can't load the image in memory.
if it is a desktop I would suggest top open up the casing, try to remove all the dust and reseat the RAM modules.

Try to diagonalize what's the beeping sound meaning.
Different bios vendor implements different meaning mapping.

For example , one long two short or three short.

According to this information, you might know what's wrong with this computer.

Move the ram to another free slot and then try to open.

Are you tried to re-install the OS?

try to restore your system this may happen due to without shutting down you may restarted or while system hanging you may restarted. so you can restore it.
