rafazamboni
Hello friends, Razz

I'm have a problem in my computer...

When I bind my computer, when it still is in the DOS, loading the WINDOWS, it appears the error message indicating that archive HYMEM.SYS is corrupted...

I use the Windows 98 Second Edition...

I heard to speak that this can be error in the memory, but what I must make?

It will be that the only way to fix this error will be reinstalling the WINDOWS? Confused

Since already tahnks to all... Wink

Hi rafazamboni, try to search the hymem.sys on your 3,5" boot disk and to overwrite your corrupted one on your harddisk. If this has no effect try to reinstall your win 98 se. If the problem will happen again, try other ram chips or try to find the one which is out of order.

Normally a new installation wil solve the prob, good luck.

You should be able to run with that file being more or less blank.
Can you still run DOS?
(press F8 just before the error happens)
